Role: Principal Consultant
As a Principal Consultant at ZeroStone, you are the strategic partner and trusted advisor to C-suite executives navigating their organization’s AI transformation journey. You own the top-level relationship with our clients, translating executive vision into actionable, investment-grade AI initiatives that drive measurable business value.
Your work bridges strategic intent and operational execution. You will facilitate our AI Value Mapping framework to identify high-impact opportunities for agentic AI, guide financial validation processes to support investment decisions, and lead change management efforts that ensure sustainable transformation across the organization.
You serve as the primary point of accountability for ZeroStone’s delivery commitments, ensuring that our solutions align with client objectives and are embraced at all levels of the organization.
What You Will Do
On a project-by-project basis, you will:
- Own Executive Relationships: Serve as the primary strategic advisor to client C-suite executives (CEO, CTO, CFO, Chief People Officer), building trust and credibility as a partner in their AI transformation.
- Lead AI Value Discovery: Facilitate ZeroStone's AI Value Mapping framework to identify and prioritize opportunities for agentic AI that align with business strategy and deliver measurable outcomes.
- Drive Financial Validation: Collaborate with client finance and operations teams to gather cost structures, process metrics, and performance data required to develop investment-grade initiatives documents with robust ROI analysis.
- Shape Investment-Grade Initiatives: Translate identified opportunities into comprehensive, board-ready proposals that include financial projections, risk assessments, implementation roadmaps, and success metrics.
- Develop Statements of Work: Partner with ZeroStone's technical teams to craft detailed SOWs that define scope, deliverables, timelines, and governance structures for approved AI initiatives.
- Lead Change Management: Guide client leadership through organizational change by supporting the CEO, Chief People Officer, and CTO in developing and executing change strategies that build capability, manage resistance, and ensure adoption.
As a strategic transformation leader, you will:
- Navigate Complexity with Empathy: Recognize uncertainty and organizational dynamics inherent in AI transformation, engaging with empathy and clarity to build confidence and momentum.
- Operate at Pace and Scale: Manage multiple client engagements simultaneously, leveraging ZeroStone's agentic tools and methodologies to maintain quality and responsiveness across your portfolio.
- Drive Business Outcomes: Ensure initiatives are grounded in measurable business value, translating AI capabilities into language that resonates with executive priorities and board-level decision-making. Measured on results delivered.
- Elevate ZeroStone’s Brand: Represent ZeroStone's methodology, values, and expertise in client forums, industry events, and executive discussions.
What You Will Deliver
- AI Value Maps: Assessments linking business pain points to agentic AI opportunities, prioritized by impact and feasibility.
- Investment-Grade Initiatives: Board-ready proposals including financial models, risk analysis, implementation roadmaps, and success criteria.
- Statements of Work: Detailed SOWs defining scope, deliverables, roles, timelines, and governance.
- Change Management Plans: Structured strategies and communication plans supporting organizational adoption and capability building.
- Executive Briefings & Reports: High-impact updates tailored for C-suite and board audiences.
- Client Relationship Strategy: Ongoing engagement plans driving sustained value and growth.
What You'll Bring
Core Experience
- 12+ years in management consulting, digital transformation, enterprise strategy, or technology advisory, with 5+ years in client-facing leadership roles
- Proven success building and managing C-suite relationships
- Experience leading business transformation initiatives (AI, automation, data, enterprise modernization)
- Expertise in value discovery, business case development, and ROI analysis
- Deep understanding of organizational change management
Strategic & Consulting Expertise
- Ability to convert executive strategy into actionable initiatives
- Financial acumen in ROI modeling, cost-benefit analysis, investment cases
- Experience developing Statements of Work and governance structures
- Strong workshop and discovery facilitation skills
- Comfortable in ambiguous, fast-paced environments
AI & Technology Literacy
- Knowledge of agentic AI, LLMs, automation, intelligent document processing
- Familiarity with cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, GCP), enterprise architectures, integration patterns
- Understanding of AI implementation considerations: data readiness, governance, security, ethics
Leadership & Interpersonal Skills
- Exceptional communicator — simplifies complex concepts for executive audiences
- High emotional intelligence and ability to navigate organizational dynamics

Preferred Background
- Experience in AI transformation, digital strategy, or automation consulting
- Background with retail, logistics, financial services, professional associations, manufacturing
- Prior leadership of change or transformation programs
- MBA or advanced degree (preferred but not required)
- Certifications beneficial: PMP, Prosci, AI/ML strategy credentials
